Ruth and I both think of this site as a place to keep our special memories and we hope you enjoy them as much as we've enjoyed experiencing them.
The majority of the images were not made for professional use — we call them our personal or amateur photographs. The exception is the section “Food - Cookbooks” — but who doesn’t enjoy good food?
Ernst Haas, (a great influence on us) once reminded me that "our professional work is really not for us, it's for our clients.” He continued “but we should never forget the reason we started making photographs in the first place — our own special enjoyment — we should also always remain amateurs." This site, for the most part, is our amateur photography — the images were made for all of us who just might enjoy looking at photographs and for no other reason.
