1967 — The CC Riders with Count Basie — Miami, Florida
It is impossible to explain what it is like to look down from the stage and see Count Basie and members of his orchestra looking up at you. After the set, he came back to the dressing room, was very encouraging and complimentary. It was a humbling experience for the entire band, and a great moment in my life.
